first reported that Archewell let the official registration fees for their charity lapse. “An organization that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds,” the letter from California’s attorney general, Rob Bonta, reads. “The organization may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry.”Town & Country understands that everything was filed on time by the Archewell Foundation, but a physical check included with the filing was never received. The foundation was only made aware of the missing check when the delinquency notice was published. A new check has reportedly been mailed, and the delinquency status is expected to be dismissed shortly.
