While speaking with reporters after Wednesday’s Phase 3 OTA session, Kansas City head coach Andy Reid addressed the situation.
“We keep open communication there, for sure,” Reid said of his conversations with Rice. “And then we just let the process play its way out, there.”
Reid also highlighted the importance of being proactive with his players.Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes takes it upon himself to mentor Kansas City’s younger players. He hopes Rice’s recent troubles will serve as teaching moments to help the young receiver make better decisions beyond the football field.
