Usher is set to receive a major accolade this year.
The King of R&B, 45, will be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2024 BET Awards on Sunday, June 30, the network announced on Thursday.This prestigious award, previously bestowed upon music legends like Prince, Whitney Houston, Queen Latifah, and Lionel Richie, recognises “special achievements and distinguished public service” by icons who have significantly influenced culture and the entertainment industry.
“The relationship between BET and Usher spans decades, from his multiple appearances on 106 & Park to most recently winning the Entertainer of the Year trophy at the 55th NAACP Image Awards,” stated Connie Orlando, BET EVP of Specials, Music Programming & Music Strategy, in a press release.
