This incident marks yet another run-in with the law for the 53-year-old, who previously served a 40-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to a DWI charge in 2018.According to a report from KLTV, Mahomes Sr.’s legal team requested an independent blood examination post-arrest. The court granted this motion, and the results revealed a blood alcohol concentration (BAC) of 0.23, which is significantly above the legal intoxication limit of 0.08 BAC in Texas.
Following this discovery, there are reports that Mahomes Sr. has a plea deal on the table which includes a 10-year probation period, though the district attorney has indicated a willingness to consider reducing the probation duration.
