It comes after the two-time champion reluctantly pulled out of the men’s singles at the last minute on Tuesday following struggles with injuries. The partnership will be Raducanu’s grand slam doubles debut.But he said he would take part in the men’s doubles with his brother Jamie for the first time.The opening round of the mixed event is scheduled to be held on Friday and Saturday.When asked about Sir Andy following her win on Monday, the 21-year-old admitted she had not “spoken to him so much” but said he had still been an inspiration.

She added: “I think for me it’s just watching him operate day-to-day, watching him be absolutely on it with everything. Even in practice now, he’s so on it to the minute.

“I think me, when I was a bit younger maybe, showing up 15 minutes before practice to do a few arm curls, swing my hand around and warm up. He’s there for an hour and a half doing treatment. He just sets really good examples.”
