BREAKING: House Democrats Team Up with Moderate Republicans to Hit 218 Votes and Impeach Trump Before March 31 for Abuse of Power — But What Hakeem Jeffries Just Said About the Plan Is Raising Alarm Across America

In a stunning bipartisan move, House Democrats have reportedly secured alliances with a group of moderate Republicans to muster the 218 votes needed for a new impeachment resolution against former President Donald Trump.

Sources close to the negotiations claim the effort focuses on charges of “abuse of power” stemming from alleged post-presidency actions, including interference in ongoing legal probes and misuse of influence over federal agencies.

The push aims to finalize proceedings before March 31, potentially barring Trump from future office under the 14th Amendment.

The coalition, led by House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), includes key Republicans like Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) and others disillusioned with Trump’s lingering grip on the GOP.

“This isn’t about politics; it’s about preserving democracy,” one anonymous moderate Republican told reporters. If successful, this would mark Trump’s third impeachment, following his 2019 and 2021 trials.

However, Jeffries’ recent comments during a closed-door briefing have sparked widespread concern. According to leaked audio obtained by this outlet, Jeffries allegedly stated, “We must act swiftly, even if it means bending procedural norms to protect the Republic.”

Critics across the political spectrum are alarmed, viewing the remark as a potential endorsement of rule-breaking tactics that could undermine congressional integrity.

“This sets a dangerous precedent,” said Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT). “Impeachment should unite, not divide further.”

The White House has dismissed the effort as “partisan theater,” while Trump’s team called it a “witch hunt.”

As debates heat up, the nation watches to see if this bold gambit will reshape American politics or fizzle amid internal fractures. More details expected as the House reconvenes next week.
