“Oh, let’s not do that! This is morning TV!” Strahan said on behalf of everyone watching ABC’s flagship morning show. “People are eating breakfast, Deion, you can’t do that!””You mean this, with eight toes?” he said with a grin, rolling up his pants to show off his dismembered foot.

Never one to be shy in front of the cameras, Coach Prime proclaimed he was “proud of my amputation” and wanted to show that he is fighting back.Sanders, 56, spoke in the interview about how he has had 12 surgeries the past few years to address blood clots in his legs that had been causing him pain. In fact, he’s had two of his toes amputated since 2022.Ahead of his first season with the Buffaloes, Coach Prime’s only desire was to run out onto the field with his team for his first game in Boulder. That was the motivation for two of the surgeries he got last summer, before he had to manage pain throughout the 4-8 campaign.
