Pippa Bartholomew’s dream came true on Saturday night when she was chosen by Taylor Swift as the lucky recipient of her fedora hat during the hit song 22.’I thought she [Taylor] was telling me to get down off my seat as I was standing on my chair but she actually saying can you come with me.’ Describing the moment she received the hat, Pippa added: ‘I said oh my goodness, thank you so much and she [Taylor] said you’re welcome.
‘She then said do you want a hug and I said absolutely.’
The American megastar, 34, wears the black fedora, from designer Gladys Tamez, each time she performs her hit song 22 on the Eras Tour.
It’s a nod to the music video which sees her sport the hat for most of the clip, as well as the memorable black and white shirt with the text: ‘Not a lot going on at the moment.’
The tradition of giving the hat away originated during the US leg of her tour at a show in Glenfield, Arizona.
