Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have finalized their divorce, according to documents obtained by USA TODAY.
Lopez, 55, first filed to divorce Affleck, 52, in Los Angeles Superior Court on Aug. 20, the second anniversary of the estranged couple’s Georgia wedding ceremony.
The couple lists their date of separation as April 26, and that their marriage has ended due to “irreconcilable differences.” The singer, who took on Affleck’s last name, has also had her legal name restored to Jennifer Lynn Lopez.

Lopez nor Affleck retained independent attorneys in the dissolution of their marriage, choosing one law office to serve as mediator. The “exact nature and extent” of the couple’s assets are “unknown” but “will be determined,” according to one filing, and neither party will receive spousal support.
This was the second marriage for Affleck and the fourth for Lopez. The two were engaged to each other twice: first in 2002, then again in 2022.

The two hit it off after meeting in 2002 on the set of the rom-com “Gigli,” when Lopez was married to her second husband, Cris Judd. Lopez and Affleck would later call off their engagement, blaming too much media attention, going on to separate relationships and marriages before rekindling their romance two decades later.
