Travis Kelce seems unfazed by the risks of fame. Despite recent threats against his life, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end has decided to move forward with his busy social and public relations schedule, all with an eternal smile on his face.

It is common for celebrities to attract all types of characters, from the most fervent fans to irrational haters. Since he began his highly publicized romance with singer Taylor Swift, Kelce has experienced both extremes. The Chiefs star is adored by the singer’s loyal followers, better known as Swifties, who usually put him on a pedestal for every gesture he makes towards his girlfriend. But he has also experienced the other extreme, with two recent episodes in which he has received death threats.

The first occurred a few weeks ago when a man who claimed to be Taylor Swift’s “husband” not only sued them both but also claimed to have issued “death orders” against the player. The second was just this Sunday when an unstable, half-naked man began shouting in downtown Los Angeles, saying that he had a gun and that he wanted to assassinate Kelce and President Joe Biden.
