Hill was born and raised in Pearson, Georgia but later moved to another county to attend Coffee High School. There, the star athlete chose to prioritize football and track over his academic endeavors.I was one of those kids. I was never going to class. I was never going to be responsible. I wanted to hang with the cool kids. I wanted to do what I wanted to do.”Because of his poor grades, Hill began his collegiate career at Garden City (Kan.) Community College, where he continued to play football and run track.There, Hill’s relationship with academics improved. The superstar athlete boasted a 3.5 GPA during his JUCO career.
“I started liking (school),” Hill said. “When you start getting those coaches coming down to see you, you start realizing I want to see some more of that. I’m going to start going to class.”
