Davis explained. “But 2023, he was out of structure a lot and he still made a tonne of plays, all right? That’s part of the reason he’s going to be the No. 1 overall pick. But he reminds me of Aaron Rodgers. He [Rodgers] had a few years stretch there in Green Bay, before he became the MVP multiple times again, where he would take the snap and be out of structure right away.
“As soon as the ball was snapped, he was starting to move, starting to look, trying to create – and I thought there was a lot of that in Caleb Williams last year.”
While Williams is a formidable player, his last season was blighted by ball fumbling issues when playing for USC.
