Prince Harry is ‘far from happy’ in the US because people who are content ‘want to make amends’ and ‘don’t create arguments and criticise people’, a royal expert has claimed.Yesterday Harry hinted he was ready to pour his heart out again about his mother Diana’s death and his relationship with his father in an emotional trailer for a new mental health documentary for Apple, due for release on Friday.
Duncan Larcombe, author of Prince Harry: The Inside Story, said Harry sounds like a man ‘desperately trying to convince himself he’s found happiness’.
‘Content people don’t create arguments and criticise people – content people want to make amends.’
Duncan added that he doesn’t believe Harry is in a position to ‘preach’ about how to cope with mental health issues when he is ‘clearly in the very midst’ of his own journey and ‘causing pain to his own family’.
He said he believes the cause of the Duke’s anger and sadness was the trauma which came about from his mother, Princess Diana, dying when he was a child in 1997, and will never be ‘truly happy’ until he works through it.
