Winona Ryder has recently spilled the tea about her secret meeting with director Tim Burton for Beetlejuice sequel.
Speaking with Harper’s Bazaar, Winona said, “There were a lot of times my agents didn’t know that I was meeting up with him.”“In the intervening decades, though, Winona and Tim kept in touch, meeting secretly to discuss making a second ‘Beetlejuice,’” remarked the Edward Scissorheads actress.
Tim told the outlet, “There’d been talk about it, but I never really understood why it was popular. And this was when people didn’t talk about sequels.”
Reflecting on working with Winona, Tim mentioned, “When I met Winona, she reminded me of how I felt as a teenager. And she’s got what I love with certain actors.”
“She can say something with just her eyes. … There’s a soul coming out. So, without dialogue, without anything, there’s something there. It’s why you make movies,” he stated.
